ABOUT ME

People often ask…

What is it like working with you?

Clients express their appreciation for the time I take to truly listen to them and to explain the complexities of their legal matter in a way that they understand. They also appreciate that I am available and responsive to them.

What do you consider to be some of your unique strengths?

I am empathetic and make people feel heard. I take the time to really dig into a case and discover the evidence that others miss.

Are there any special achievements or qualifications that enhance your contribution to your practice areas?

I am competitive, which makes negotiations fun and ensures I am a good steward of a client’s money in settlement negotiations.

In general, would you say that you are highly devoted to your career?

Yes! I am highly devoted to providing my clients excellent legal representation and resolving their disputes quickly and effectively.

In My Spare Time

  • I enjoy hiking, dancing salsa, yoga, and meditation. Of course, I also love playing on the beach. I facilitate a personal growth/spiritual group and volunteer with the Isle of Palms Exchange Club, which raises money for child abuse prevention, veterans, the community, and youth scholarships.
I really enjoyed working with Amy. She was recommended to me by another client and I definitely see why. Once I had her on my side, I felt so confident in her skill and trusted her wholly. She helped resolve my case peacefully and professionally, and I am so grateful for her help. I highly recommend her services. Thank you again Amy!

GaffneyLewis, like a number of law firms, has enacted full-time remote operations in an effort to reduce rates of transmission of the Covid-19 virus.

Although we will not be physically present in our offices, we have confirmed our remote access tools and our business continuity procedures are in place to ensure our business operations remain fully functional. It is our goal to maintain business operations as usual in a way that protects our staff, clients and visitors. We would like to assure you that every member of our team continues to work diligently to maintain the level of service that we strive to provide every day.

We will be communicating remotely by phone and email. Please continue to contact any of our team members by phone or email as usual. Phone calls are still being received during office hours and answered by a member of our team. After hours, you may leave a voicemail for the person that you are trying to reach and they will return your call promptly within normal operating hours (9am – 5pm). You may continue to use the contact form on this page to send us an email. You may still schedule consultations and mediations via email or phone.

Court hearings, mediations and other conferences and client meetings will be held via teleconference or video conference.
